New wave of migratory flows from the Libyan coasts

During the day yesterday, the Navy ships of the operation Safe Sea, together with units of other naval devices, conducted 40 rescue operations to boats loaded with migrants, in precarious conditions of buoyancy north of the Libyan coasts.

Of the 5053 migrants taken as a whole, 1907 will reach several Italian ports. In particular the patrol boat Spica will land 767 migrants (plus 1 body) in Catania; the patrolman Vega 745 migrants to Messina, while the frigate Aliseo has transferred 395 migrants on board the unit of Doctors Without Borders Aquarius.
