On Sunday a Mirage 2000-D and a Mirage 2000-N (photo) of the French air force struck a site for oil production and supply under ISIS control, in the area southeast of Deir ez-Zor, in Syria. This is what they communicate from the French General Staff. The target had previously been identified by several intelligence missions conducted by French forces within Operation Chammal in coordination with the international coalition.

The 2 fighter-bombers have taken off from Jordan. The mission, successfully completed, should cause serious damage to the economy of Daesh and the supply of fuel for the means employed by the Islamic State in the area.
