The crew was promptly recovered by the Chinese unit and after a few hours it was transferred to another Italian merchant ship in the same area (Jolly Diamante), diverted by the national maritime authorities. Meanwhile, ship Mimbelli, in a logistics stopover in Djibouti as part of the Ocean Shield NATO anti-piracy mission, left the port and headed to reach Altinia at maximum speed, based on the provisions of the Defense.
