Other 100 operators of the US special departments (mostly green caps, but the Delta Force) will reach Syria and Iraq with the aim of killing (or capturing) the heads of the Islamic state.

To date, if they were to catch live terrorists, the US would not know where to detain them. The matter was not politically treated.

Until the 2009, enemy fighters captured in Iraq and Afghanistan were sent to Guantanamo, Cuba, for an indefinite time. Barack Obama then shut down the plant and no detainees were sent from the 2009 to the prison facility.

The statement released by the Operation command is particular Inherent Resolve: "It is likely that our operators could also capture militants, but we are sending a small group of highly qualified commandos for limited, surgical operations. Their use will be limited. Of course, for us it would be better to capture someone alive so as to obtain information, but we think from time to time. First the safety of our boys, then we'll see. It is too early to determine what will happen to the prisoners, when and if we catch them ".
