Tension in the East China Sea. According to China's National Ministry of Defense, the 17 last June two F-15 fighters of the Japan Air Self Defense Force, they would "frame" two Chinese Sukhoi Su-30, routinely patrolling east of the East China Sea.

Our fighters - reads a note from the Chinese Information Bureau - they were conducting a routine patrol in the Air Defense Identification Zone (unilaterally declared by China at the end of the 2013), when they were approached by two Japanese F-15. JASDF fighters - added by the Chinese Ministry of Defense - they activated their fire control radar and framed our Su-30. They were ready - they write verbatim from the Chinese Information Bureau - to fire.

"Our Su-30 reacted by adopting defensive measures and tactical maneuvers, preparing to engage Japanese fighters who, however, once we understood our intentions, left the area. Such provocative actions that could cause unpleasant accidents and possible losses should be avoided. We are hopeful that our countries can find an agreement to avoid unintentional accidents, both in the air and at sea ".

The Japanese deputy head of the Cabinet, Koichi Hagiuda, denies the Chinese accusations. According to the government official, the incident would never have occurred.
