Sweden continues researching the submarine off Stockholm

Official sources of the Russian defense denied that one of their submerged units is crossing off Stockholm, and indicate the Netherlands as the nation responsible for violating Swedish territorial waters.

The Russian source also points out that it could be the diesel-electric-powered Dutch submarine "Bruinvis", which would have carried out drills last week, concerning emergency emergencies, very close to Stockholm.

The denial was immediately spread from the Hague, denying what the Russians said. The declaration was entrusted to the agency France Presse, by the spokesman of the ministry Maronoes Visser.

The Swedish units have been patrolling the entire archipelago, from Moja in the north to Orno in the south, for four days, but research has produced no results. To reinforce the thesis that the submarine is Russian, the Danish agency Ritzau has announced the presence, in the same area, of a Russian oil tanker flying the Liberian flag, which for five days has been proceeding in a zig zag, a maneuver defined as unnatural by the Defense of Copenhagen.

The position of the oil tanker began to be investigated by the 15 October, because Denmark is among the planned airports, but the ship has never approached it, persevering in a gait that suggests it is at least in difficulty, but probably it is keeping a course that allows it to remain in the body of water subject to the submarine's exercises.

It could be the mother ship, or a unit with Elint equipment. In this case, the submerged unit is certainly not nuclear and therefore not able to support itself.

To further confirm the Russian naval activities, Ritzau adds that the Swedish secret services, last Thursday, have intercepted encrypted messages transmitted from the waters in front of the Stockholm archipelago, directed to the Russian naval base of Kaliningrad.
