US military sources in Washington have specified that, in accordance with the provisions issued by President Barack Obama two weeks ago, the Pentagon has engaged F-22 fighters, drones and Tomahawk missiles.
The first waves of attacks hit Raqqa, the stronghold of Isis, and lasted for about 90 minutes.
The coalition is composed of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Emirates and Qatar.
The Syrian news agency "Sana" states that yesterday the United States had warned the Damascus regime of the attack on Raqqa, informing Assad's ambassador to the United Nations.
It is possible that the raids are conducted by units sailing in the north of the Persian Gulf and in the Red Sea.
In the Gulf there is the USS George HW Bush aircraft carrier, which could be escorted by the USS Philippine missile cruiser, the USS Truxtun missile destroyer, and at least one Virginia class submarine.
