F-15 Israelis took to the air, shortly after the 18, to hit targets at a Damascus airport. According to reports, the Israeli air force has targeted numerous targets, probably weapons destined for Lebanon.
The attack was announced by the Syrian media during the broadcast of the main news in the country.
The IDF prefers not to comment on the raid, however Israel has already announced a rigorous policy of intolerance towards any kind of threat to the country, such as arms transfers between Syria and Lebanon.
One wonders if the raid was coordinated with the Russians, as agreed in the meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the agreement, all operations in Syria would be coordinated to avoid "unconscious" incidents between the respective air forces.
The latest Israeli attack on Syria dates back to 31 last October, when numerous Hezbollah targets in southern Syria were hit.
