Muwaffaq Mustafa Mohammed al-Karmoush, aka Abu Salah to two other high-profile figures were killed in the latest US-led Coalition raids. No further details were provided. Confirmation comes from the US command of Baghdad.
Abu Salah was at the top of the list of the most economically relevant and experienced figures in the Islamic state. The list was drafted by the counter-terrorism of the US Treasury Department.
Iraqi, born in the 1973, Abu Salah was considered the minister of economy of the Islamic State in Iraq. The other two figures eliminated concern an elderly leader responsible for the extortion activities and a commander in chief.
Their name has not yet been issued.
