US-led coalition forces have eliminated a senior head of the Islamic state, Abu Bakr al-Turkman, in an air raid last September 10 near Tal Afar, Iraq. The confirmation comes from the Department of Defense.
Abu Bakr al-Turkmani was "administrative" emir.
After making a name for himself in the Iraq branch of al-Qaeda, Abu Bakr al-Turkman has become a close associate of the senior leadership of Isis in Mosul and Tal Afar.
The exit of al-Turkmani - continue by the Department of Defense - will compromise the ability to maneuver and plan the terrorist cell in Tal Afar.
