Armored vehicles, ammunition and "brand new" T-72 tanks. The "business" of Iraq continues, a country that appeals to every defense industry in the world thanks to its petrodollars. A common practice, that of standing in front of the door of every oil-rich government. It matters little if the same country is politically unstable or driven by a dictator.

"Irrelevant", finally, if those same means fall into enemy hands, as happened for thousands of Humvee heavily modified Americans given to terrorists. Just to give an example: Iraq, for a cost of over ten billion dollars, bought from the USA 140 tanks M1A1 Abrams Books, 400 combat vehicles Stryker, attack helicopters, fighters, various vehicles, anti-tank missiles and infantry equipment. All made in the USA.

Meanwhile, the deliveries in Iraq of 500 MT-LB armored vehicles restructured from Bulgaria have begun. The contract was signed in the 2012. Bulgaria has also donated 18 D-20 howitzers in addition to 130 mortars of various caliber in the 2014. The industry Excalibur of the Czech Republic, finally, resumed delivery to the Iraqi government of refurbished T-72 tanks and BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles (built in Czechoslovakia).

According to what is learned from IHS Jane, the contract between the Excalibur and the Iraqi Ministry of Defense provides for the supply of 100 vehicles, including T-72 and BVP-1 tanks, including spare parts and personnel training. A clause of the contract provides for the non-disclosure of the final value of the contract.
