Iran has revealed to the world what would appear to be the second underground base in the country. The new images were issued during the visit of the Iranian parliamentary spokesman, Ali Larijani (photo below), in one of the secret bases of the Islamic Revolution's Guard Corps. It is Parliament's intention - stated Larijani - increase the budget of our missile program.

Beyond the customary internal phrases, the video shows a large number of long-range missiles Emad deployed in the underground base. They could also be gods mockup, as often happened in the past, but we know that mass production of weapon systems has been started.

According to the official version, Iran would have 14 underground secret bases throughout the country. The missiles (according to Teheran) would have been placed at different depths in the ground: from a minimum of 30 to a maximum of 500 meters. A first line of fire, formed by an unknown number of medium and long-range missiles, would have been designed to be launched in an automated way following an attack immediately.

The 15 last October, at a very rare moment of opening, the Iranians showed the world one of the secret bases of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Built at 500 meters below a mountain range in Iranian territory, it hosts ballistic missiles Qadr e Shahab. The underground structure shown on television is "only one of the many secret missile bases scattered throughout the country. Every US base in the Middle East is within the reach of Iranian missiles ".

After disclosing the underground deposit for the first time, Lieutenant commander of the IRGC Brigadier General Hossein Salami said: "It was one of our oldest arsenals and we have not yet shown our modern missile depots, where they were stored missiles with large cross-sections. "

As anticipated, those shown a few hours ago in Iran's second underground base appear to be missiles Emad, deemed operational. Precisely on the new missile, the defense ministry comment was clear: "To strengthen our defense, we must not ask anyone's permission and the new 'Emad' is a clear example of our developing programs."

Iranian officials have always stressed that "the defense of the country cannot be influenced by the nuclear agreement signed with the world powers the 14 last July with the resolution of the United Nations Security Council".

The Iranians have recently claimed to "be able to build missiles with a range of 2000 km with a zero margin of error".

On the system Emad little is known. It should be a medium-range liquid fuel ballistic missile with a range of 1700 kilometers. The most significant figure, if it were really so, concerns the new return system equipped, according to the Iranians, with advanced controls which would guarantee greater precision. Its liquid propellant, however, requires a refueling before launch: a long, dangerous process that leaves it vulnerable to enemies. His GPS satellite guide, on the other hand, is based on the American network. The latter, in the event of an attack, could be obscured by the Pentagon. Therefore, Iran could probably be based on the Russian GLONASS.

Finally, the conventional warhead remains considerable, even if such a weapon has very little sense if it is not equipped with a nuclear warhead.
