"We want to equip ourselves with Russian T-90". This is what General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan, commander of the Iranian land forces, told the country's press today.

"Our links with Russia are stable, our country wants T-90 tanks. We hope to soon conclude contracts and equip ourselves with such a platform."

According to Pourdastan, an Iranian delegation could leave shortly for Russia to sign the agreements. "We will use the abilities of our allies to improve ours."

At a cost of 4,6 million dollars per specimen, the T-90 could be ordered by the Iranians in a number ranging from 150 to 300 units.

Tested the Ghadr-110

Iran tested a new medium-range ballistic missile 21 last November. The test would represent a violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The Ghadr-110 missile, evolution of the Shahab-3, was launched by Chabahar. It should have a range of over three thousand kilometers, probably a two-stage platform. Developed by Hemmat Missile Industries Complex, the Ghadr-110 is considered highly manoeuvrable, although it should not be as precise as the Emad long-range system. The Ghadr-110 would be ready for launch in less than thirty minutes.
