The United States will purchase 2443 F-35. The confirmation comes directly from the Pentagon, after the alleged revisions feared by numerous senior officers.
Peter Cook, a Pentagon spokesman, reiterated: "No formal evaluation or review of short-term objectives is underway. Considering, however, the various US defense programs, changes could occur, but to date no proceedings are in progress. There is no change of perspective for the F-35 ”.
In other words, the 2443 F-35 are safe.
It is also true that the Pentagon is constantly looking for strategies to keep costs down in the face of budgets that continue to decline. This means that all programs could be subject to future analysis.
