US defense: Congress allocates additional funds to strengthen the US air force

The United States Congress has further increased the budget for the air force, with separate spending items included in a new bill.

Lawmakers added $ 1,33 billion for eleven F-35s: three “A” versions for the Air Force, two “Cs” for the Navy and six “B's” for the Marine Corps.

For the Air Force, Congress has also allocated $ 80 million to purchase an additional four MQ-9s Reaper armed. An expenditure chapter, the latter, not financed by the previous budget.

The bill also includes $ 64,5 million for "additional special operations" on CV-22 platforms Osprey and funds to upgrade the C-130 fleet.

For the Navy, Congress allocates $ 18 billion for seven EA-XNUMXGs Growler and four F / A-18s Super Hornet.

The bill also includes a $ 500 million increase to upgrade the entire intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) apparatus.
