TAURUS Systems GmbH, a joint venture of MBDA Deutschland GmbH (67%) and SAAB Dynamics AB (33%), today delivered the first batch of missiles stand-off TAURUS KEPD 350K to the South Korean Air Force (ROKAF).

The ceremony, which saw the participation of representatives of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) and ROKAF, was held at the headquarters of TAURUS Systems GmbH in Schrobenhausen, Bavaria, and marked the beginning of deliveries.

The TAURUS KEPD 350K program is proceeding according to schedule and the integration on the Korean Air Force's F-15K is in the final stages.

The 350K is an improved and updated version of the TAURUS KEPD 350 missile, in service with the German Air Force from the 2005 and with the Spanish Air Force from the 2009.

The TAURUS KEPD 350K is a missile system stand-off modular for precision attachments and has been designed and developed to fly through dense air defenses at very low height from the ground against high value targets.

The missile contains a highly effective dual warhead, combining penetration capabilities for protected, deep-located targets with detonation and fragmentation capabilities against both point and wide-range targets.
