Leonardo recognized as Business Hero in the United Kingdom for the exceptional commitment during the Covid-19 emergency

The organization of the Chambers of Commerce of the United Kingdom (British Chambers of Commerce) has awarded Leonardo the recognition of Business Hero for the exceptional contribution made during the Covid-19 emergency.

In agreement with local Chambers of Commerce, the British Chambers of Commerce has chosen to award UK companies whose response to the pandemic has exceeded expectations. Leonardo, which employs more than 7.500 employees in the UK at its sites in Edinburgh, Basildon, Luton, Southampton and Yeovil, has been awarded the Business Hero qualification for continued efforts to ensure essential capabilities for the current and future programs of the Armed Forces, in addition to guaranteed support for helicopter transport operations of personnel and materials throughout the country to deal with the pandemic. The company's employees also received commendation for making thousands of personal protective equipment for the National Health Service in the time available outside of working hours.
