MBDA's ENFORCER missile production nominated for funding from the European Commission


MBDA continues to increase production with the ENFORCER Production Increase Campaign (EPIC) proposed for funding under the European Commission's ASAP programme.

The EPIC project aims to significantly increase the production of ENFORCER; this will contribute to the further increase in serial production of ENFORCER missiles at MBDA's Schrobenhausen site in Germany and at the company's partner companies in Europe.

Eric Béranger, CEO of MBDA, said: “The EPIC project, implemented under ASAP, represents an exceptional opportunity to increase the production of ENFORCER missiles and, at the same time, improve their resilience and speed . Series production of the ENFORCER is now well underway and the first deliveries to the German Armed Forces will take place later this year. An export contract was also signed. We are ramping up production of ENFORCER missiles to meet customer demand for years to come.”

Thanks to its low weight, passive day and night operation, and confined space fire capability, the ENFORCER offers a significant capability enhancement in mobile land operations. Thanks to its unique characteristics, the ENFORCER offers precision effects capabilities against the threat posed by stationary and moving light armored targets, targets behind cover and long-range targets, even in urban environments. The modular design of the ENFORCER system allows for a range of future development options, including for a “family” of ENFORCER munitions for land, air and naval applications.
