La Security and Information Systems Division of Finmeccanica (which in the process of divisionalisation of the companies of the Group absorbed, from 1 January 2016, part of the activities of Selex ES) signed an important contract with NAV CANADA for the modernization of air traffic control radars (ATC - Air Traffic Control) in 12 major Canadian airports, including Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver and Calgary, whose work will be completed by 2027.

This is the most important project acquired in the ATC, second only to the program 4-Flight for the new national air traffic control system, currently under development. The agreement includes options for subsequent stages of review and possible replacement of additional equipment.

NAV CANADA is the body that manages the Canadian civil air navigation service (ANS - Air Navigation Service), internationally recognized as one of the most efficient organizations in the sector for performance and safety requirements.
