The delivery of the Multi-purpose Offshore Patrol (PPA) “Francesco Morosini”, the second of seven units that will all be built at the Integrated Shipyard of Riva Trigoso and Muggiano with deliveries scheduled until 2026.
The PPAs are part of the plan for the renewal of the operational lines of the naval units of the Navy, decided by the Government and Parliament and launched in May 2015 under the aegis of OCCAR (Organization for joint cooperation in the field of armaments).
Present were, among others, the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Adm. Enrico Credendino as a team, and the general manager of Fincantieri's naval vessels division, Dario Deste.
