Boeing estimates 1800 new jobs for the production of the new TX

Boeing's decision to assemble the new (potential) Air Force TX trainer at the St. Louis plant will create around 1.800 jobs.

"The TX Boeing trainer will help protect Americans and create jobs in Missouri"Missouri Governor Eric Greitens said. "Companies like Boeing, which are committed to growing and investing here, show the world that our state is open to trade and ready to create new jobs."

The estimate of employment growth includes both direct and related work connected to the aircraft.

The TX is a training system designed specifically for the Air Force call to replace the T-38 fleet.

The initial contract, for 350 aircraft, training and ground support, is worth 16 billion dollars.

La initial operational capacity is scheduled for the 2024. The outcome of the tender is expected by the end of the year.
