Boeing: contracted by 58,6 million dollars for missile interception technology

Boeing received an 12 month contract, worth 35 million dollars, from the American Missile Defense Agency last May 58,6, to demonstrate its advanced technology Multi-Object Kill Vehicle (MOKV), which is able to increase the ability of the interceptors to locate and destroy missiles going to the United States.

"Our MOKV concept provides the Missile Defense Agency with the right flexibility to eliminate threats in a more efficient and convenient way"Commented Paul Geery, Mission Solutions vice president of Phantom Works. "We have created a robust and solid design that benefits from our extensive experience in advanced seekers".

In the 2015 Boeing received an initial study contract from the Missile Defense Agency to design and develop the MOKV concept. As part of the contract, Boeing suggested engaging to reduce technological risks at this stage.
