Boeing will deliver the first P-8A Poseidon deployable trainers to the US Navy, allowing crews and operators to increase their readiness even in distant missions.

According to the recently signed contract, Boeing will supply seven Deployable Mission Readiness Trainers (DMRTs) to the Navy, starting from the 2019.

"Trainers ensure that the Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance community is experienced in anti-submarine warfare. Using these trainers, the crews are trained without adding hours of flight to the plane "commented Commander John Thoe, head of the P-8A training systems integrated product team. "The DMRTs will fulfill these important requirements by ensuring high-fidelity and crew-based training for the squadrons deployed".

The proposed design of the DMRT is exportable with requirements low-power and includes the system Weapons Tactics Trainer of Boeing, which incorporateseboys and models ocean-acoustic.

The US Navy trains crews in naval air stations in Jacksonville, Florida and in Whidbey Island, Washington. The 70% of P-8A crew training takes place in simulators and other trainers; the remaining 30% uses current aircraft.

Boeing also has a contract to deliver a complete P-8A training system to the Australian Air Force, starting with the 2018.
