In 1994 he is appointed Senior Vice President of Alenia's Technologies and New Programs Development Activities and later, in 1996, he becomes Alenia's Head of the Aeronautics Division. When Alenia transforms itself from a Division into a Company, it holds the position of General Manager of Alenia Aeronautica. Other positions taken in the period include: Chairman of the Board of Directors of LMATTS (Lockheed Martin Alenia Tactical Transport Systems), Vice Chairman of Alenia Aermacchi and Director of the Consorzio Eurofighter GmbH and Eurofighter International. In September, 2002 was appointed CEO of Eurofighter GmbH. He is Chairman of the ATR consortium in the 1996, 1998 and 2000. From June 2001 to June 2002 is one of the representatives of Alenia Aeronautica on the Board of Directors of ATR. From 1 June 2004 to 1 June, 2007 holds the position of Managing Director of ATR.
