The ceremony for cutting the sheet metal was held yesterday at the Fincantieri plant in Riva Trigoso (Genoa), starting the work of the second Multipurpose Offshore Patrol (PPA).
The unit will be delivered in the 2022 and is part of the plan to renew the Navy's surface lines, decided by the Government and Parliament and started in May 2015. The sheet metal cutting of the first unit took place in February 2017.
