Turin, 1-2 October. Defense at the Student's Exhibition

30/09/14

On the 1 and 2 days of October in Turin, on the occasion of the "Campus Orienta - Student Hall", the four armed forces will be present with stands dedicated to the army, navy, aeronautics and weapon of the carabinieri, where young visitors can ask about life military and in particular on enlistments.

In fact, the Defense offers a wide range of professional opportunities for young people: among these, the VFP 1 and the VFP 4.

The one-year Pre-Fixed Volunteer (VFP1) is a youth who performs military service in the army, navy or aeronautics for a year, after which he acquires the possibility of accessing some competitions for police forces and the red cross military body.

The four-year Pre-Fixed Volunteer (VFP4), whose recruitment pool consists of only VFP1 in service or on leave, is employed in all activities of the armed forces, including missions outside national borders. The VFP4 which ends the period of service without demerit may enter the ranks of the armed forces definitively, becoming a Volunteer in Permanent Service (VSP) or, if in possession of a high school diploma, compete for non-commissioned schools or military academies with a rate of reserved seats.

The non-commissioned schools provide professional training to future marshals of the armed forces, who during the course obtain a three-year degree: a prerequisite to enter the competition is in fact the possession of a high school diploma.

Young graduates interested in pursuing military training as a commander and a master's degree may instead compete for military academies (Modena for the army and the carabinieri weapon, Livorno for the navy and Pozzuoli for the aeronautics).

At the stand, visitors will also have the opportunity to subscribe to the Defense newsletter, to ensure constant and timely contact with the world of the armed forces.
