SEAFUTURE: presented in Rome the 2018 edition

The 6 edition of SEAFUTURE, an event of strategic importance for the development of business opportunities for national companies and defense organizations / agencies, organized by the Ligurian District of Marine Technologies, was presented in Rome, at the Navy Non-commissioned Officers' Club. from the Tecnomar Liguria Consortium, from AIAD, EIEAD, Liguria Region and in collaboration with the Navy and Spezia EPS Special Company CCIAA Riviere di Liguria.

The event, which will be held from 19 to 23 in June 2018 inside the La Spezia Arsenal, takes on a great international importance thanks to the presence of foreign marinas who will participate with their representatives and who may be interested in the acquisition of units naval navies no longer functional to the needs of the Naval Squad, after a refitting by the industry.

The need for military and civil equipment with shorter delivery times and budgets is to be found in SEAFUTURE's refitting and uplift offer, with a strong appeal and a motive for an all-Italian "business model" that enhances experiences, skills and workers of the same Military Arsenals, research centers, Universities, the Marine Technology District of Liguria, and the military departments of the Navy, such as CSSN, CISAM and CIMA.

Considered also the current century as the Blue Century, Seafuture stands as a container for the promotion of research and technological innovation in the maritime field. There are numerous conferences and technical seminars that will be organized on the topic: from environmental management in shipbuilding, to water management, to the 4.0 ship. The 6 ° edition will also address the theme of the Unmanned Autonomous Systems (autonomous underwater marine vehicles) for underwater applications and for the development of environmental control technologies, thanks to the support of the General Secretariat of Defense.

International players in the industrial sector such as Leonardo, MBDA, Fincantieri, Elettronica have already confirmed their presence at a five day event full of events. The activities will be divided into: 9000 sqm of Exhibition Area for marine technologies at the hangars and basins of the Naval Base where 300 companies will present their products and their know-how; Dock Area for the display of civil and military boats; 1500 Advanced Bilateral Meetings between companies and foreign military marines; international conferences with a high political, scientific and economic profile; technical seminars and business conversations reserved for companies and 50 degree thesis that will compete for the Seafuture Award dedicated to the most innovative master thesis or specialization thesis.
