30/09/14

On Saturday the XNUMXth edition of “The Art of Modeling” was inaugurated in the former Dominican convent of Ruvo di Puglia (Bari). How to frame this art? Surely it is one of the few and high as well as pleasant forms of celebration of human ingenuity, of technology, of its creative and innovative capacity.

One can not but admire the patience, constancy and passion of those who dedicate their time.

The biennial initiative has reached its tenth edition thanks to the collaboration of the pro loco, the patronage of the Puglia region, the province of Bari and the Air Force - III Bari air region.

The event, started as a wager twenty years ago, has become an event of tourist-cultural relevance thanks to the passion of emerging artists and young people, all united by the intense "exercise of patience". It is one of the most important events in the sector in southern Italy, awaited and appreciated by all, passionate and curious.

In the exhibition opened by the mayor of Ruvo, Vito Ottombrini, from the ass. to the cultural tourism and sports policies, Pasquale De Palo, by the president of the pro loco, Rocco Lauciello, and in representation of the AM, from col. Girardi, there are represented different sections: A-military and civil aircraft B - C ships - D-figures - military vehicles E - dioramas and military sceneries F - means and civil dioramas G - fantasy H - miscellaneous, plus there is space dedicated to history where the exhibition traces the evolution of the military uniform of the last century, with a series of faithful reproductions of the illustrations by Achille Beltrani on the covers of the Sunday of the Corriere during the First World War.

On Sunday, at the sports field, there was a display of dynamic model airplanes that showed spectacular changes, thanks to the skill of the "pilots" on the ground of the Pegaso association, cheering and having fun both young and old.

The exhibition is open until Sunday 5 October and will close with an awards ceremony for the participants at the Dominican convent.
