Today and tomorrow, at the Turba barracks, home of the 46 Trasmissions Regiment, two days of study are underway on "radio bridges and wireless networks", open to 150 students of the Polytechnic School of the University of Palermo.

The course is aimed at providing an immediate feedback on the theoretical concepts acquired in university classrooms through a "real" scenario of connections on radio links. With the synergic intervention of university professors and military instructors and with the help of technicians of the territorial Inspectorate of the Sicily region in the role of "transmission signal jammers", the course includes theoretical insights and dynamic activities of assembly, operation and management of connections.

The unit commander, Colonel Fabio Minotti, in expressing his satisfaction with the success of the study cycle, wanted to underline that “the particularity of the activity, the professional level of the trainers and the high technology of the material used, once again testify to the avant-garde capabilities available in the Armed Forces. "

The two study days are part of the protocol of didactic collaboration agreement signed last year by the corps general Corrado Dalzini, commander of the Southern military region, and Professor Roberto Lagalla, rector of the University of Studies of Palermo, in order to promote synergy between academic culture and field experience through the promotion of training and orientation internships, conferences, meetings, seminars and joint research activities.
