The "Supporto Aderente" exercise was concluded, aimed at increasing the operational capacity of the JRRF-NRI-EUBG high state of readiness force packages provided by the "Garibaldi" sharpshooter brigade and to test, in particular, the capacity of the logistics regiment " Garibaldi” to operate as a brigade support group (BSG).
The "Garibaldi" brigade has activated the advanced command post at the Caserta headquarters, training the logistics "operational function", an essential capacity for the planning, coordination and management of support in favor of dependent units in the conduct of tactical land activities , while the "Garibaldi" logistics regiment deployed its field logistics assets for maintenance, supply and transport, guaranteeing full logistical adherence to the tactical group service areas of the 8th "Pasubio" artillery regiment and the 4th tank regiment.
During the exercise, the units of the "Garibaldi" brigade operated synergistically, strengthening their capabilities in planning logistics needs, managing scheduled activities and verifying deviations during the conduct phase.
Personnel from the other COMFOP SUD brigades also participated in the activity, providing a qualified contribution both integrated into the logistics cells and as observer controller.
The commander of the "Garibaldi" brigade, General Mario Ciorra, in visiting the exercise area, highlighted the importance of the brigade support group to guarantee adequate support to the maneuver units, and congratulated the results achieved in the organization and in conducting the exercise.
