The final phase of Operation Snake Eater is underway

Last Saturday, at the end of a 24-hour cyber competition and a 4-month targeted training activity, the 10 teams from the Armed Forces Training Institutes who will participate in the final phase of the operation were selected Snake eater at the headquarters of the 9th "ROMBO" cyber security regiment.

The operation Snake eater, presented last January to the Undersecretary of State for Defense Senator Isabella Rauti, has the aim of bringing future commanders closer to the new technologies being introduced in the army, through a new approach to training characterized by a language close to the new generations albeit based on the values ​​that have always characterized the Armed Forces.

The first phase of this initiative, conducted remotely on the PWNX platform by approximately 1500 students divided into teams of 4 people, ended with the selection of the top 40 classified who will compete for the podium on May 11th in Rome.

The final challenge that awaits the students, of type Capture The Flag, will be conducted on the cyber range of the 9th "ROMBO". It is a virtual polygon, which the department operators have configured to transform it into a realistic, immersive and engaging environment, in which the teams will be able to compete on highly technological challenges, focused on the integration between cyber and electronic warfare.

The competition will end with the awarding of the top three best teams.​
