Poland: NATO exercise “Saber Strike 24” ended

In recent days it ended, at the Bemowo Piskie Training Area in Poland, the exercise Saber Strike 24, launched by NATO with a distinctly terrestrial connotation, focused in the north-east quadrant of the Euro-Atlantic area. In this context, NATO has put in place measures in order to increase surveillance and presence activities in its area of ​​responsibility and encourage the increase in the readiness of the Allied Forces.​

The NATO presence, aimed at strengthening the deterrence posture on the eastern flank, is intended to demonstrate the Alliance's capacity and determination to respond in solidarity to potential threats to the stability and security of member countries.​

The training objectives of "Saber Strike 24" aimed to test each soldier's individual ability, planning of command posts, the integration of the multinational components of battle group and confirm the operational level of companies exercised in the planning, organization and conduct of offensive tactical activities.​

The final exercise took place in fire mode (live fire exercise) developed in a high intensity conventional combat scenario involving national and multinational units battle group BORN. There live fire exercise saw approximately 300 soldiers from all the companies deployed on the ground battle group and represented an opportunity for professional growth for the Bersaglieri, allowing them to interoperate and become familiar with the weapon systems and equipment of other NATO armies.​
