The athletes of the "Sports Activities Department" of Parachute Training Center of the Army in Pisa were the protagonists of the Italian record in vertical flight of sports parachuting of sequential “Head Down” formations, made in recent days at the Skydive in Fano (PU). The team of 17 athletes (including 4 from the Army), hit the new Italian record on the sixth launch attempt.
The “Head Down” record includes a series of group formations during the free fall in vertical position, which are evaluated by the judges of the International Aeronautical Federation (FAI), flying upside down.
The next engagement for the Army athletes, who train in Pisa at the Parachuting Training Center of the brigade thunderbolt and at the Aerogravity Flight Simulator in Milan, he will be wearing the Italian National Team jersey for the next Absolute World Championships which will take place in August in Tanay, Siberia (Russia).
