Begun last April, the course developed into three different training modules: the first allowed students to acquire the ability to move and fight individually within urbanized areas; in the second, developed at the towers of the gymnasium, the youngsters faced the flight tests on a slide and a round cloth and mastered the techniques of abseiling, climbing and air bridges; in the third, finally, the goers trained themselves to move and fight following the techniques of the combat patrol.
This phase of the training process of the future platoon commanders, culminating in the continuous exercise "Orsa Maggiore", started on May 16 and held in the wooded area included in the quadrilateral Monte Romano, Tolfa, Blera and Civitella Cesi, is essential to equip the students of the ability to plan and conduct ongoing operations in conditions of physical and psychological stress, developing autonomous decision-making skills, self-esteem and teamwork.
