A remnant of war in the province of Trento neutralized by the bomb squads of the Italian Army

In recent days, the bomb squads of the Italian Army, belonging to the 2nd Alpine Engineer Regiment, have neutralized a 75mm artillery projectile, dating back to the First World Conflict found at the Passo Ballino in the Municipality of Favè (TN).

Continuing to operate despite the Covid-19 emergency is an essential requirement and task for men and women of the Alpine Brigade "JULIA", in order to safeguard the safety of the population and of the territory as a whole.

The coordination of the Alpine Troops Command of Bolzano with the Commissariat of the Government of Trento, the availability of the Italian Red Cross military Volunteer Corps and Law Enforcement, together with the specialists of the military genius of Trento, allowed to carry out the activity according to the necessary safety protocols, confirming the versatility of all the State Bodies and the Civil Protection sector to work in synchrony on several fronts despite the COVID Emergency -19.

Continuing to operate in the essentials further nourishes the hope of soon resuming all normal activities, for everyone, with the hope also of being able to restart also the information aimed at raising public awareness of the danger of the bombs. Moments necessary to feed the culture of risk prevention, such as those already started together with the University of Trento and with the National Association of Civil War Victims, which the Trento Section promotes towards middle and high schools in the Province.

The residual devices, regardless of their apparent size and shape, are always an insidious danger that can be revealed on the ground without the knowledge, therefore the attention of the citizens must always be maximum to report them promptly to the police.
