The first edition of the event took place on Saturday 22 February at the Fausto Pesci airport in Bologna, home of the 2nd support regiment of the Air Force of the "Orione" Army.
"Carnival with flying bubbles".
In the presence of the regimental commander Colonel Vincenzo Recano the event was organized in order to bring together the families of the military during the carnival period and to support the initiative "#LOTTOANCHIO" in favor of the children of the Department of Hematology and Pediatric Oncology of the Sant'Orsola Hospital in Bologna.
In favor of this project, a check of 1.000 euros was delivered to the representative of the board of directors of the association, the result of the modest collection by the staff of the regiment.
"#LOTTOANCHIO" is a campaign organized by AGEOP RICERCA ONLUS (Pediatric Hematology Parent Hematology Association) which aims to raise € 50.000 to support, for two years, a scientific research project at the research and diagnostics laboratories of the Department of Pediatric Oncology, in order to ensure timely diagnosis and increasingly effective personalized therapies for young patients.
To entertain guests and some small patients, discharged but still under treatment, the "Bhollywood", a show of music and magic through the story of the soap bubbles of "Il Bollaio Matto", accompanied by the musical notes of the group "The soloists of Felino ".
The afternoon of this nice masked party, with music and animation, ended with a rich snack for the little ones who, enthusiastic and excited, spent a few hours surrounded by a magical atmosphere, in a healthy environment rich in family values , sealing an important gathering moment for the military personnel of the 2nd Orion, actively inserted in the Bolognese social fabric.
