In recent days, an International Competition was held at the sports facilities of the Army's Military Equestrian Center in Montelibretti, in which about 300 pairs from 12 countries participated, including Italian pairs and athletes " home".
It was an athlete of the Military Center of Equestrian, the sergeant major Emiliano Portale, to obtain results of great importance. In fact, in the most important race of the entire Competition, the CCI4 stars Lungo, the military duo Portale - Aracne came second.
The race started with the test of Dressage, which the two finished in third place, continued with the test of Cross Country, dominated by the duo, which brought them to the first provisional place, concluding, after the last test of Show Jumping in second place. With this result, the duo obtained the Olympic pass.
The sergeant major Portale was also enrolled in the CCI4 star Corto, riding Virgilio dell'Esercito, where he won sixth place, a position that allowed him to confirm the Olympic qualification, already obtained in 2019; finally, with Creevagh Limited Edition he competed in the 2-star CCI, resulting in the final winner.
Remarkable the results of the other athletes of the Center who participated in the competitions: the fourth place in the CCI3 stars Lungo, of Corporal Matteo Orlandi riding Plenty of Magic, a useful result for the qualification for the European Championships of Complete YR, and the fifth place of the caporal major Roberto Riganelli, on Djakarta de Mancy in the 2-star CCI.
