21/10/14

The commitment of the men of the 8 ° parachutist sappers in the city of Parma continues incessantly. After the first days in which the parachutist sappers were busy freeing the basements from the water, from yesterday morning, at the request of the Parma prefecture, the Northern Interregional Defense Forces Command ordered the increase of the device deployed on the territory with the sending more men and vehicles, including a rate for the railway regiment.

The effort put in place (25 men, large-capacity motor pumps and heavy trucks) made it possible to clear the roads and ensure the viability in the historic center, thus ensuring the flow of aid from the complex organizational machinery of civil protection.

150 tons of mud and waste of all kinds removed and transported to landfills.

Enthusiasm and gratitude was shown by the citizens of the army, young people who, until late at night, actively contributed (often by hand) to restore normality.
