The swearing-in of 85 Volunteers in One Year Fixed (VFP1).
In the presence of the regimental war flag, the men and women of the 4th block 2019 sealed the entry into the ranks of the Armed Force, with the traditional formula of "I swear!".
The ceremony, presided over by the commander of the Infantry School, Brigadier General Roberto Viglietta, saw the presence of some political and religious authorities and a representation of actual soldiers at the 85th RAV.
The general officer, addressing the jurands, underlined how “Military life will confront you with difficulties, risks, sacrifices but also satisfactions, emotions and friendships which, precisely because they are shaped in difficulties, will be special. The brotherhood in arms, which matures in the large military family, makes our profession unique and even those who decide to take off their uniform in the future will still remain part of it. Therefore, much will be asked of you in the future but you will have much in return. "
On the sidelines of the oath, the alternation ceremony in command of the 85th “VERONA” volunteer training regiment between the transferor, Colonel Gianluca Ficca and the incoming Colonel Christian Ingala.
The event, conducted in full compliance with the regulations in force for the contrast and containment of COVID 19, was broadcast live streaming, to allow relatives and friends to share this important moment of their military journey.
