The dangerous remnants of war: mortar bombs, artillery shells and anti-personnel mines (still fully functional), were removed from the recovery site to be finally destroyed at a quarry in the neighboring municipality of Faenza (RA), ideal for ensuring the maximum frame of safety.
The reclamation operations, coordinated by the Prefecture of Ravenna, and supported by a tested civil protection device, were completed in the early afternoon, minimizing the inconvenience for the resident population.
For the Legnago specialists it was the 233 ° intervention since the beginning of the year; this intense activity made it possible to neutralize a destructive potential of 800 bombs of various types and nationalities.
