The activity, which involved the 186 ° regiment parachutists Folgore and the company transmissions of the command and tactical support units of the Folgore, has been divided into several phases.
During the first phase the static brigade command post, deployed at the training area of Valle Ugione (LI) managed the initial C2 and monitored the air launch of the 186th regiment. In a subsequent phase, the 186th Regiment guaranteed the safety of the launch area by allowing the infiltration, again by air launch and by successive waves, of the brigade command's airborne assault command post.
Among other things, the visualization of the operational picture was successfully tested through the Blue Force Tracker (BFT) system, recently assigned to the brigade, and the C2 procedures of an airborne operation were tested, as well as the ability of long connections. distances within the brigade, necessary to maintain constant control of the situation at all stages of the operation. Maintaining the standards of operational readiness and flexibility and the consequent strategic command and control capacity to be expressed in all missions, constitute the main commitment of the Folgore paratrooper regiments.
The exercise also gave the opportunity to set up in the training area of Valle Ugione, a permanent structure on shelter, used for the deployment of the backward command post, which will allow all the commands of the Folgore regiments to be able to train also on this particular appearance, guaranteeing an additional service to the wards in transit in the training area.
