Exercise "Joint Shield 22.2"

In the period from 14 to 16 June, the exercise of the "National military observation and reporting network of CBRN events (Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear) - Joint Shield 22.2" took place.

The exercise, conducted in compliance with the provisions of the Joint Forces directives on a quarterly basis, tests the capabilities of the CBRN information network, in support of the national High Commands, in preventing the possible consequences caused by unconventional events of different nature (such as military, leaking from factories and / or civilian plants, terrorist attacks) with the aim of guaranteeing an ever greater and better defense response in the sector of the broad-spectrum CBRN threat.

During the "Joint Shield 22.2", which involved all the W&R Centers of the Network belonging to the Armed Forces located both on the territory and in national waters, the CBRN Area Control Center generated over one thousand five hundred activations, testing all command systems , control and related communications, for a data exchange of over three thousand messages.

The achievement of the training purposes, obtained during the exercise, confirmed the full operational efficiency of the National Military Network responsible for the observation and reporting of CBRN events.
