The "Hermes" exercise has just ended which saw the logistics regiment of the "Sassari" brigade deployed for the first time in an organic form.
The training objective was to exercise a regimental level logistics unit, including an operations room, a logistics battalion and a command and logistics support company, for the unitary management of first and second line tactical level logistics , with a focus on the planning and coordination of maintenance, supply and transport activities in a scenario that simulated the current "Leonte" operation in every way.
The personnel of the "Sassari" logistics regiment have successfully trained in the management of convoys for the transport of personnel, vehicles and materials, in the distribution of humanitarian aid to the civilian population, in supplies, in the clearing and recovery of damaged vehicles, to the movement of loads and the management of a CBRN type incident, with consequent receipt and issuing of orders.
