The first 2 Army RH-206C helicopters, intended for the training of the pilots of the Specialty, landed at the 72nd flock of the Air Force, in Frosinone. The collaboration between the two Armed Forces, formalized at the end of last year with the signing of the technical agreement between Brigade General Paolo Riccò, commander of the Army Aviation (AVES) and the Air Brigade General Luigi Casali, head of staff of the command of the Schools of the AM / 3rd Air Region, starts a synergy in the context of the achievement of the Helicopter Pilot Military Patent (BMPE).

The Air Force instructor pilots, Armed Forces responsible for the release of the BMPE, and the AVES instructor and specialty pilots will work together to train eleven new AVES pilots. In the framework of resource optimization and joint training between defense sectors, the Army Air Force Training Center (CAAE) provides support to the Air Force flight school with its aircraft, due to the growing need for the Army to train helicopter pilots.

Specifically, the collaboration involves a phase of familiarization on the RH-206C helicopter by the AVES standerdizzatori pilots in favor of the AM instructors. Colonel Claudio Orioles, commander of the CAAE and ten. with the. Francesco Felli, commander of the 1st "Auriga" squadron group, led the helicopters to the 72nd flock, thus formally starting the pilot students' training process.

At the end of the basic phase, lasting about a year, at the Frosinone school with the achievement of the military helicopter patent, the Army pilots will continue the specific training, typical of the Army component, at the CAAE where they will acquire the peculiar operational skills of the Specialty.
