The 76th basic and refresher course on escort and Vip protection procedures for safety in the various operational scenarios, organized by the "Aosta" brigade with the use of instructors of the 9th "Col Moschin" paratrooper assault regiment, has ended. .
The course, in line with the training objectives of the "Acqui" division, involved military personnel selected by some regiments of the brigade Aosta, of the brigade Garibaldi and the brigade Pinerolo.
The use in operational theaters requires the availability of selected and trained personnel to protect personalities and key figures, therefore the "escort and VIP protection" courses are included in the preparation plan of the Army units, training activities in which the presence of excellent instructors, such as the raiders of the 9th “Col Moschin” regiment, guarantees high standards in the performance required of visitors.
In the training areas used by the “Aosta” brigade in Sicily, the instructor team intensely engaged the military with both theoretical and practical activities, aimed at evaluating and perfecting their professional preparation.
In particular, shooting lessons with Beretta 92 FS pistol and Beretta ARX 160 rifle were conducted, precision shooting and weapon handling techniques, target acquisition and information gathering were refined, together with an intense gymnastic-sporting activity aimed at reach high reaction capacities even in conditions of psycho-physical stress.
The training, conducted in full compliance with the regulations in force in the field of combating Covid19, allowed the staff to increase their level of preparation in a highly specialized sector, proving to be a stimulating and profitable activity for all participants.
