Change in command of the "Pinerolo" brigade

Yesterday, in the presence of the commander of the Southern Operational Forces, general of the army corps Giuseppenicola Tota, the ceremony of alternation in the command of the "Pinerolo" brigade between the brigadier general Luciano Antoci, transferor, and the brigadier general Paolo Sandri, taking over. The highest civil, military and religious authorities of Bari and its province took part in the event.

General Antoci leaves the command of the “Pinerolo” brigade at the end of a period characterized by intense operational and training activities. In particular, during the past 14 months, the large unit of the Italian Army was employed on the national territory, guaranteeing its contribution in various areas and also providing its support to the Police Forces in the context of the operation. The commander of the Southern Operational Forces highlighted in his speech the important results achieved by the brigade, acknowledging the great commitment and professionalism expressed by all the staff, and underlining the importance of training which, combined with motivation and a sense of belonging, are the essential elements to operate effectively in current scenarios. At the end of his speech, General Tota thanked the transferring commander for the commitment put in place and the collaborative spirit ensured in all circumstances.

General Antoci leaves the command to fill a new position at the central organs in Rome. General Paolo Sandri comes from the Army staff.
