Report of a month of "safe roads" in Campania

16/05/14

The 32 ° wagon regiment of Tauriano (PN), head of the "Campania" group within the "Safe Roads" operation, records a very positive balance for more than a month from the beginning of the operational activities on the territories of Naples and Caserta with fixed headmasters and mobile patrols.

Among the significant data we report that more than 1900 patrols have been carried out in competition with law enforcement agencies, controlled over 2500 people whose 7 were arrested, controlled more than 1700 vehicles, disputed over 85 violations of the highway code and seized more than 30 vehicles.

To these data are added the interventions for the numerous road accidents in which it is necessary to help the civilian personnel involved and restore the safety criteria to manage the roads. Just this morning, at the stationary garrison of one of the sites in the historic center of Naples, the tankers promptly intervened to avoid further damage to a scooter driver, involved in an accident with a car, managing traffic, always intense at within the city, and allowing healthcare workers to intervene quickly.

These results confirm the professionalism of the staff of the 32 ° regiment and of all the structures received in reinforcement by other units; in particular, the high level of training and operational experience, allows to collaborate with the police in great harmony in order to guarantee more security and combat crime.

For this reason, the extension of patrols in the areas of the area called "Terra dei Fuochi" has registered a positive impact and favorable feedback among ordinary citizens, making it possible to mark a gradual reduction in environmental crimes (abandonment / spillage of waste and fires).

The men and women of the army operate between the provinces of Naples and Caserta in a vast area about 200 square km, coordinated by the 2 Defense Forces Command, a command that manages the "Safe Roads" operation from Rome to Lampedusa .
