In recent days at the newly established Military District "Lieutenant MOVM Dario VITALI" in Pisa, in the presence of Commander of the Ground Operations Forces (COMFOTER COE), Army Corps General Federico Bonato and the main city authorities, the ceremony of rotation at the top of the Army Special Forces command (COMFOSE), between the transferring commander, brigadier general Ivan Caruso, and the incoming commander, brigadier general Pietro Addis.
Il Military district, new headquarters of COMFOSE, stands on a large area with a surface of 35 hectares included in the Natural Park of Migliarino, San Rossore and Massaciuccoli, therefore immersed in a natural setting, which is well suited as a reference model for the "Project Green Barracks ", promoted by the Army General Staff.
In his parting speech, General Caruso retraced the multiple objectives pursued by Special Forces sector (FS) of the Armed Force during his three years of command, with particular regard to the Special Operations Training Center (CEADDOS) et al Special Operations Support Department (RSOS), recently established joints responsible for training Special Operations Basic Operators (OBOS), the first, and to the logistical support of the Special Forces in operations, the second.
After the citation of the command recognition formula, in his allocation the new COMFOSE commander general Addis, expressed his thanks for the trust granted by the superior authorities, addressing, at the end, a referent greeting to the War Flags of the dependent regiments framed in the deployment.
