In the 2011, a "twin" bomb, of the same type and weight had been found in the same area and neutralized by the destroyers of the 11 ° Guastatore Regiment, almost certainly both bombs go back to the bombings of August 1943, in which they were hit different cities of Southern Italy.
The intervention, directed by the EOD staff officer (the official coordinator of all activities related to the reclamation) of the 11 ° Guilatory Engineers Regiment, under the coordination of the Power Prefecture, carried out by the EOD specialists, continued for a few hours, ending with the blasting and neutralization of the device.
