An IVECO front service for the VTLM platform has been launched at the "ARIETE" logistics regiment

The "Ariete" logistic regiment of Maniago (PN), an operational unit responsible for the logistical support of the 132nd "Ariete" armored brigade, has started a service of front service for assistance, maintenance and repair of the VTLM "LINCE" platforms in the area of North Operating Forces command.

The activity, organized and financed by the Army Logistics Command in collaboration with the North Operating Forces command e IVECO Defense Vehicles, is aimed at integrating the technical skills of military mechanics and IVECO specialized technicians, with the aim of restoring a substantial number of VTLM platforms to efficiency.

In particular, the agreement provides for the supply of qualified labor and any spare parts by Iveco; contractual activity, supervision and testing by the 15th CERIMANT; coordination and infrastructure by the logistic regiment of the "Ariete" brigade.

The synergy between the industry and the bodies of the Army in charge of direct and general logistical support, carried out in the processing areas of the company holding the logistic regiment, will allow for a formidable training return "on the field" for mechanics military.

The agreement reached represents an ideal example of collaboration between the Armed Force and industry, which has seen the operational and training needs of the North Operating Forces command with the support, the know-how and the professionalism of the private industry.

"In the current context we had to adapt, reshaping part of the planned activities, to also guarantee support to local institutions in containing the Coronavirus emergency. The front service is certainly one of those fundamental activities for the professional growth of our mechanics, keeping aware that the sharing of resources and logistical capabilities is one of the fundamental pillars to guarantee the Armed Force an efficient and reliable fleet ", said the commander of the logistic regiment "Aries", colonel Carlo Tornaboni.
